Sword & Shield - Fusion Strike Officially Revealed

Mew is fusing it all together!

The eighth set of the Sword & Shield TCG named Fusion Strike has been revealed by the Pokémon Company International.

This set will be mainly based off the Japanese upcoming main expansion set S8 Fusion Arts.

The set includes:

  • Over 260 cards
  • 20 Pokémon V and 13 full-art Pokémon V
  • Eight Pokémon VMAX
  • 20 Trainer cards and seven full-art Supporter cards
  • One Special Energy card

Fusion strike will release on November 12, 2021.

The Fusion Strike set introduces new mechanic named Fusion Strike. This is a new battle style, comparable to Rapid Strike and Single Strike.

Sword & Shield—Fusion Strike includes 25 Fusion Strike cards such as Mew VMAX, Genesect V, and Hoopa V. The set description also mentions Gigantamax versions of Rillaboom VMAX, Cinderace VMAX, and Inteleon VMAX.

We think it's the Rillaboom VMAX and Cinderace VMAX promos from the Japanese Ichigeki / Rengeki Start Dash Campaign.

Also Inteleon VMAX could be from the High Class Deck Gengar VMAX / Inteleon VMAX. Gengar VMAX is also shown on the pack art, we think it's also from the aforementioned Japanese product. Currently there are no new Gigantamax cards of all of these cards, only the earlier mentioned cards from Japan.
