Blaziken and Galarian Slowking make their debuts as V / VMAX cards!

The next Japanese set S5a Matchless Fighters has been officially revealed.

This will be the set after S5I / S5R Sword & Shield - Single Strike Master / Rapid Strike Master and will continue Rapid / Single Strike cards. Some of these cards are Blaziken V / VMAX and Galarian Slowbro V / VMAX. Rapid / Single Strike Supporters of Brawly and Karen’s Conviction and more Item cards / Pokémon with the Rapid / Single Strike spec.

Update: Galarian Articuno V, Galarian Zapdos V, and Galarian Moltres V have been revealed too!

  • This (sub)set will contain 70 cards + secret cards (SR cards or better).
  • This (sub)set will release on March 19, 2021.
  • Price: 4950 yen
  • 1 Booster box includes 30 packs. 1 pack includes 5 cards.

Back in November 2020, the official sell sheet mentioned that this set would contain Special Art cards and powerful meta-impacting cards. Also a S5a Matchless Fighters Klara & Avery Set will release on the same day as the release of S5a Matchless Fighters. Klara and Avery could be included in this set as Supporter cards, but so far this is not yet confirmed.

The pack art also reveals the Galarian Legendary Birds (Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres). Maybe these could debut as V cards.

Card translations come from ToineLay, which we thank very much.
