Very limited Lucario!
New Lucario VSTAR HR (305/S-P) and Lucario V SR (304/S-P) cards have been revealed for Japan as a Lucario VSTAR HR Competition promo prize award.
So far, the competition and images have been revealed exclusively on the official Pokemon Card Game YouTube channel. We don't know how many copies of these promos will be distributed.
Everyone who participates also receives a mirrorfoil promotion from Barry (303/S-P). The Lucario V SR Promo first appeared in English in the Lucario VSTAR Premium Collection in April 2022.
The Lucario HR and SR promos are expected to be highly sought after and potentially expensive. Previous HR Competitions featured very limited and now expensive promos similar to previous Charizard VMAX HR & Mewtwo GX HR Competition events.
Each tournament begins with four-player Swiss rounds; the victor receives the Full Art Lucario V and advances to the single-elimination Top 4 stage. The Lucario VSTAR HR is awarded to the overall event winner.
Update 19-08-2022: It has been officially revealed on the website. And a Shield Battle at Home campaign will come too.
Pokemon will launch a 'Shield Battle at Home' campaign on Friday, September 30. 2,000 lucky winners will receive a Lucario VSTAR HR, while 4,000 will receive a Lucario V SR via lottery. The period will be September 30 - December 31, 2022.
The tournaments will be held in Japan beginning September 30 and ending December 31, 2022. This event's featured set is S11a Incandescent Arcana.
These tournaments will include 16 participants. To participate in the event, you must purchase 10 packs of the S11a Incandecent Arcana set and assemble a 40-card deck (4 prize cards) using those packs. It resembles a Prerelease Tournament in some ways. Energy cards are also given to you when you enter this competition.
Tournament schedule:
- The first tournament slot will be held between September 30 and October 31, 2022.
- The second tournament slot will be held between November 1 and November 30, 2022.
- The third tournament slot will be held between December 1 and December 31, 2022.
Each tournament will be limited to 16 participants.
