A very cool collaboration!
Pokemon Japan have teamed up with Yu Nagaba to create the YU NAGABA x Pokemon Card Game Special BOX.
Yu Nagaba is a popular Japanese artist – you may be familiar with his Peanuts x UNIQLO collection, amongst other works.
Inside are a variety of items, all with illustrations created by Yu Nagaba, including:
- 64 Card Sleeves
- 1 Deck Case
- 1 Rubber Playmat
- 1 Card Storage Box
- 1 Multi Ring (for your smartphone)
Price: 6226 yen
This product will be distributed via a Lottery process, similar to the Eevee Heroes - Eeveelutions Set.
Entries will open at the PUBLIC TOKYO Online Store from June 18th (12PM) and will close on June 28th (12PM).
You can also enter at the Pokemon Center Online Store. Lottery entry dates will be revealed at a later date.
Lottery selection emails will be sent on July 9th, and the product will be dispatched from July 22nd onwards.
A special Pikachu card illustrated by Yu Nagaba has also been revealed. This is Pikachu 208/S-P Promo. It will be handed out at Pokemon Centers, Pokemon Stores and the Pokemon Center Online Store when you spend 1500 Yen or more, with a limit of 1 per person while stocks last. It will also be handed out at the PUBLIC TOKYO Online Store with selected purchases.
People who won the YU NAGABA x Pokemon Card Game Special BOX via lottery at Pokemon Center Online, will be given 1 of this promo too (1 per person).
This promotion starts from July 22, 2021. While supplies last.
And it’s not just cards either. Yu Nagaba has also created 3 original T-Shirts, each for sale at the PUBLIC TOKYO Online Store. Featuring Pikachu, Charizard, and both Charizard and Pikachu, they will each retail for 6600 Yen. These will also be sold via a Lottery System, with entries open from June 18th – June 28th. The YU NAGABA x Pokemon Card Game collaboration will be featured on the cover of the Japanese Men's Non-no magazine. It's a popular monthly men's fashion and lifestyle magazine in Japan. It will release on September 7, 2021
