Pokemon Cards Continue Strong Sales as Total Production Hits 85 Billion

Pokemon cards continue to perform strongly worldwide.


The Pokemon Company has released their worldwide Trading Card Game figures for fiscal year 2025/2026 (as of March 31, 2026), revealing that roughly 10 billion Pokemon cards were produced during the fiscal year, bringing the lifetime total to over 85 billion cards.

 

It appears that production remained at roughly the same level as the previous fiscal year. The previous yearly increase was listed at 10.2 billion cards, though the company appears to round these figures.

With these numbers, the number of card production has increased by 13.33%, from 75 billion to 85 billion.

More than 1 in every 9 Pokemon cards ever produced was made during fiscal year 2025/2026 (roughly 11.76%).
