The Pokémon Company International has agreed to buy U.S. distributor Excell Brands, they are a major distributor and category management service provider of trading cards to major retailers in the United States. They have officially published this in their press release.
Excell Brands have a massive distribution portfolio. They partner with big TCG brands like the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Their reach extends to collectibles market aswell, through partnerships with Funko, Topps, Panini, and major sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, and MLB. To get these products into the hands of consumers, Excell maintains a huge network of retail partners.
Their distribution lines hit the shelves of retail giants such as Target, Walmart, and Kroger, alongside specialty shops like Barnes & Noble, Hobby Lobby, and Hot Topic and major e-commerce platform Amazon.

Bellevue, Wash. — February 19, 2026 — The Pokémon Company International today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Excell Brands, a leading U.S. distributor and category management service provider of trading cards and collectibles. The transaction is expected to close subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
