Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution Officially Revealed

The Pokémon Company International has officially announced then next expansion and new TCG Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, called Mega Evolution. This set is scheduled to launch on 26 September, 2025.

This set returns the MEGA Evolution ex cards in the Pokemon TCG, which was teased earlier this year on Pokemon Day 2025. These new Mega Evolution ex cards take 3 prize cards when knocked out.

It's also confirmed that a new art style is coming for ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, which may feature a silhouette of the regular version of that Pokémon (for example, Lucario appears in silhouette on the ultra rare card featuring Mega Lucario ex).

Also like we have seen in the Japanese version of this set called Mega Brave / Mega Symphonia, Mega Evolution will expand ultra rare cards beyond Pokémon and Supporter cards, with the introduction of ultra rare Item, Stadium and Pokémon Tool cards.
