There is a new card promotion going on of Charizard ex from Obsidian Flames.

This is an oversized promo card of Charizard ex with a set stamp of the Scarlet & Violet - Obsidian Flames.

A members of the French Pokécardex forum have spotted the French version first at Smythstoys France (this promotion was officially available November 17, 2023 there), then a PokeGuardian reader informed us about this oversized card in English asking us for more information. He bought it at a used shop in Finland, but he does not know either where this card was distributed. Our quick investigation led us nowhere, but to more confusion. Now we have found a German version of this oversize promo.

TPCi has not given any information regarding this promotion. We contacted TPCi a while ago regarding the unavailable information for Europe regarding card promotions, specificially for the Umbreon Obsidian Flames promotion back in October and this is what they had to say: "Thank you for your patience while this issue was investigated.

We can confirm that the promotion and cards indicated are legitimate. However, their distribution has been delayed to other areas of Europe.

We are currently in the process of updating the Pokémon Partner Promotions and Distributions FAQ page to reflect this information.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused."

Since then, this Pokémon Partner Promotions and Distributions FAQ page got an minimal update without any of these distributions mentioned.

When we have more information about other regions/countries having this promotion, we will of course actively update this article. In the meantime, if you know more, please let us know.

Update: We have found new distribution for the Netherlands. This promo will be given out at Intertoys Netherlands stores if you spend 25 euro's or more on Pokemon Trading Card Game products online or in stores.

Update 2: We have found the German distribution, this is at VEDES stores if you spend 10 euro's or more on Pokemon Trading Card Game products in stores.
