Japan Post Pokemon Stamp Box Revealed, Moon Goose and Beauty Looking Back Promos Revealed

Japan Post and Pokemon is releasing Pokemon Card stamps and Promos based on real famous Japanese stamps!


Japan Post will release a special product named the Pokemon Stamp Box - Pokemon Card Game Beauty Looking Back, Moon Goose.

 

This product features the 'Lite version' of the New Family Pokemon Card Game, 1 type of stamp sheet with Pokemon Card artwork, 3 types of transformation cards Pikachu, Eevee and Charizard (1 each), and 2 exclusive promo cards (Beauty Looking Back) Pikachu 227/S-P & (Moon Goose) Cramorant 226/S-P.

The 2 other stamp sheets in the article below are being sold regularly and are not included in this specific box.


These 2 promo cards (Beauty Looking Back) Pikachu 227/S-P & (Moon Goose) Cramorant 226/S-P are based and redesigned with Pokemon off the Japanese 1948 Beauty Looking Back and 1949 Moon Goose stamps. Both promos are illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita.

 

Beauty Looking Back was originally done by Hishikawa Moronobu during the Edo Period, 17th century. Moon Goose (also referred as Goose on the moon) was originally done by Hiroshige Utagawa during the Edo Period, 17th century.

 

This product will cost 4000 yen and will release on August 25, 2021. You can obtain this product at your local Post Office in Japan or order it online.

ToineLay mentioned that Japan Post announced that there will be an initial print run of 80.000 copies of this Pokemon Stamp Box, with a mention of possible additional print runs. 

 

The 64-yen stamp sheet, which of the theme is the four seasons, and the illustrations are designed to depict the Pokemon who spend the year happily, will have 1 million copies printed. The other 84-yen stamp sheet of which the theme is "Pokemon Card Game", with stamps that have a Pokemon Card design, will have 2.5 million copies printed.

 

These stamp sheets will be sold seperately and are not included in the Pokemon Stamp Box.

 

The 84-yen stamps will cost 840 yen per sheet and releases on July 7, 2021. The 64-yen stamps will cost 630 yen per sheet and releases on July 7, 2021

The pokemon box set isn't available at your post office and it's actually run on a lottery not a purchase.
