Inflation is not good
The Pokemon Company has announced for Japan that the manufacturer's suggested retail price of Pokemon Card Game related products will get a price increase starting at the Pokemon Card Game Scarlet & Violet Series that is released after January 2023.
The reason for this is that the raw materials and logistics are rising in price (likely due to inflation).

We regret to inform you that due to the rising costs of raw materials and logistics, we have decided to revise the prices of some Pokémon Card Game-related products and Pokémon Center original products, as described below.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we will make further efforts to provide products that meet your expectations.
We hope you will continue to patronise our products in the future."
